Day 2 - Workshops, Fitness and International Healthy Buffet
Finding Your Voice & Setting Boundaries
Empowering young women to stand tall in a digital world. As part of our mission to shape global citizens who can take care of themselves, this workshop focused on building self-confidence, prioritizing self-care, and discovering the power of a clear "No"—both in real life and on social media.
Navigating Public and Private Data
In our highly connected world, taking care of oneself also means protecting our digital identity. This session focused on internet safety, helping students understand the crucial difference between public and private data. By learning what is safe to share and what must be kept secure, our students are developing the digital literacy needed to navigate social media and the internet responsibly as true global citizens.
Moving Towards a Healthier Lifestyle
Physical well-being is a fundamental part of our "Taking care of oneself" objective. Our Fitness Club offers students a fun, active environment to improve their physical health, reduce stress, and analyze their daily lifestyle habits regarding physical activity. By encouraging regular exercise, we are providing our students with practical, hands-on tools to better take care of their bodies and minds.
Sharing Taste and Traditions
Eating well is a key part of taking care of oneself. To promote a healthier lifestyle, we organized an International Healthy Buffet where students and teachers prepared and shared traditional, seasonal, and regional dishes from all our partner countries. By choosing local and seasonal ingredients, we not only offered a healthier diet, but also took care of our planet and celebrated our diverse European cultures together.
Day 3 - Carolinen Brunnen and Sustainability Workshop
Understanding the German Deposit System
Resource management is key to protecting our environment. During our field trip to the local mineral spring Carolinen Brunnen, students explored the sustainable cycle of the German bottle deposit system ("Pfand system"). By learning how reusable and recyclable bottles contribute to waste reduction and circular economy, our students gained practical insights into sustainable consumption and taking care of our planet.
Understanding Overfishing
Taking care of our planet means protecting its oceans and marine life. In this interactive sustainability workshop, students tackled the critical issue of overfishing and its severe impact on global ecosystems. By exploring responsible consumption habits and alternative choices, our students are developing the vital green skills needed to combat climate change and act as responsible global citizens.
Shaping Our Educational Tools
Continuous collaboration is the backbone of our Erasmus+ project. During our latest teachers' meeting, educators from all partner schools focused on advancing our shared Teachers' Guide. By combining our European best practices, we are creating a valuable, sustainable resource to help educators teach global citizenship effectively.
Finalizing Our Shared Book
A proud moment for our European partnership! In our recent students' meeting, the participants successfully completed the collaborative Students' Book. This milestone reflects the active participation of everyone and perfectly captures the students' voices, ideas, and practical tips on taking care of oneself, others, and the planet.
Day 4 - Bethel
Learning the Art of Caring for Others
Compassion and inclusion are at the heart of taking care of others. During our excursion to the famous diaconal institution Bethel, students learned firsthand how professional care and support are provided to people with disabilities, the elderly, and the sick. By exploring accessibility and community care, our students gained a deeper understanding of what it truly means to build an inclusive society and act as empathetic global citizens.
