Guest Conductor – Amberley Bremner

Amberley is a passionate and experienced educator, performer and conductor. Amberley has studied and performed both nationally and internationally. Alongside music education and performing, Amberley has studied a Masters of Music Therapy and Masters of Autism Studies, working at the Children’s Hospital, Brisbane, highlighting her passion for using music to support and inspire. Amberley is actively involved in supporting music education, conducting with Melbourne Youth Orchestras and loves her position as Head of Junior School Strings at Scotch College, which fulfills her passion for instilling young people with a life-long love and appreciation of music. Amberley enjoys adjudicating string orchestra competitions such as Southstreet and the Victorian School Music Festival and guest conducting at camps and events. Amberley’s life is filled with music and she loves any opportunity to share her fun with others.

We hope the festival will serve as a worthwhile extension of the program you are currently operating within your school. We aim to give students the opportunity to benefit from a wide range of choral experts and repertoire. Students will experience a day’s intensive training and the chance to network with like-minded students from other schools.  This, in turn, is intended to return benefits to your program.  

 As schools have different requirements for indemnity forms, we ask that teachers distribute and collect their standard forms and bring them on the day.

 Note that the cost per student will be $12.00. 

 An invoice will be sent to your school after the event. Please do not bring money on the day

It is expected that schools will send an appropriate number of staff on the day to accompany and supervise their students.  Supervising staff are encouraged to participate in sessions as part of their own professional learning.
