Great Famine of 1315–1317

 Roll D10 for each animal you own 

if 3 or 7 are rolled, the animal survives (chicken, cows and llamas sold for meat)

Every household is affected! All crops die. 

They may be replanted starting in 1316, but at the end of both 1316 and 1317, a coin must be flipped and tails kills all plants.

D12 rolled each of the 3 years for each sim

2 means they die of hunger. And 5 means they die of thirst.



1348 The Black Plague 

1510 Influenza Pandemic

An acute respiratory disease emerged in Asia before spreading through North Africa and Europe during the first chronicles, an inter-regional flu pandemic generally recognized by medical historians and epidemiologists. Roll extra for EVERY sim in your family (including the side households).

1521–1523 Famine in the Low Countries, Ireland and the Nordic Countries

Influenza Pandemic–1557-1559

Roll extra for EVERY sim in your family (including the side households).

These are your odds: Using a D20 roller, roll for every single sim for each year. If a sim rolls a 20 then your sim dies, otherwise, they’re perfectly fine and survived.

Eighty Years’ War (1568–1648)

The Eighty Years' War or Dutch War of Independence (1568–1648) was a revolt of the Seventeen Provinces of what are today the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg against Philip II of Spain, the sovereign of the Habsburg Netherlands.


Flip a coin for all male sims who are dutch or spanish as they age to teens, this determines if they are enlisted. Tails means they are enlisted.


Roll a D6, and 3 or 5 means your soldier dies.

1569–1574 Pan-European famine

Pan-European famine, including Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Low Countries, Nordic Countries, Russia and mostly east off Ukraine

First Northern War (1655–60)

The First Northern War (1655–60), also First or Little Northern War) was fought between Sweden and its adversaries the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth (1655–60), the Tsardom of Russia (1656–58), Brandenburg-Prussia (1657–60), the Habsburg Monarchy (1657–60) and Denmark–Norway (1657–58 and 1658–60).

War of the Spanish Succession (1701–14)

The War of the Spanish Succession (1701–1714) was a conflict involving many of the leading European powers that was triggered by the death in November 1700 of the childless Charles II of Spain. It established the principle that dynastic rights were secondary to maintaining the balance of power between different countries.

If your male sim lives in the Low Countries, Italy, Hungary, Spain, Portugal, Spanish Florida, West Indies, Thirteen Colonies, Newfoundland, India, East Indies, or West Africa, flip a coin, this determines if they are enlisted. Tails means they are enlisted.

1703–1711 The Rákóczi Uprising against the Habsburg Monarchy

The Great Frost of 1709

The Great Frost, as it was known in England, or Le Grand Hiver ("The Great Winter"), as it was known in France, was an extraordinarily cold winter in Europe in 1708–1709, and was the coldest European winter during the past 500 years.


Deaths are still unknown, though in france around 3% is the estimate.

Either lock your sims inside, or take them skating! (both are accurate).

Flip a coin, if Heads, they cant light their fireplace! No heat, no cooked 

foods, and no farming, its too cold for that. 

Roll a D10 for all sims without Heat. 10 means they freeze to death, 7 

means they starve.

Roll D20 otherwise, 3 means they freeze, 2 means they starve

1710 Rocking Chair Invention

The rocking chair has been invented.

If the roll is between 1 and 2, they are infected by the plague.

If the roll is 1, they succumb to the plague.

If the roll is 2 or 3, they recover from the plague.

If the roll is between 4 and 10, they survive but might face lasting health effects. Add an extra roll for all illness events for this sim going forward.

1863-1875 Fourth cholera pandemic

Roll a D20 for all 16+ male sims in the conflict area: Netherlands & Indonesia

If the roll is 1 to 13, they are enlisted in the war effort.

If the roll is 14 to 20, they remain uninvolved.

Death Rolls (Military):

For each of the military participants flip a coin

If it's heads, they die due to battle-related factors.

If it's tails, they survive the conflict.

1881-1886 Fifth cholera pandemic

3 means they contract Cholera
