September 12,1932 - Eight small schools, dating back to the 1800s, were consolidated into the original Butler Stone facility that became known as Consolidated School of the Seventh District.
1957 - 25th “Silver” Anniversary celebration
November 1969 - construction began on addition to the main stone building.
August 30, 1970 - A fire destroyed the majority of the stone school building. Arson was suspected.
February 19, 1971 - classes taught in modulars
November 5, 1972 - Soon after the structure was destroyed, it was decided to reconstruct a new open space school on the same site. Faculty, parents, school board members, and architects worked collaboratively to design a structure that included the two wings that remained after the fire, and the school was reopened.
April 23, 1982 - Golden 50th Anniversary was celebrated.
August 22, 1997 - Seventh District Elementary representatives cut the ribbon on a new eight classroom modular addition.
May 16, 2008 - Diamond 75th Anniversary was celebrated in the school.
Tuesday, September 12, 2017 - will be the 85th Anniversary of 7DE.
