1982 marked the 50th Anniversary of Seventh District Elementary School. The celebration occurred on April 23, 1982. Of all the celebrations held at the school, we have the most items of memorabilia from this event.
A single cardboard box was found in a storage room of the school in early 2017. This box held old photos, newspaper clippings, class pictures, booklets from previous anniversaries and a large Kodak box.
Inside of this Kodak box was a carousel of 80 slides. The only thing missing, of course, was the old Kodak projector to view the slides. Luckily for us, we have modern scanners to copy the small slides into a digital file.
This 80 slide presentation was used in 1982 for the 50th Anniversary of Seventh District Elementary School. I hope you enjoy the presentation from 1982. Slides 1 is a handwritten slide that reads Seventh District Elementary School. Slide 2 is also handwritten that reads 50 years 1932-1982. "Low-tech" we call that now-a-days! NOTE: The parentheses at the end of each caption, is the number and title of the slide to help me keep them in order.
