In the later part of the 1960's, Seventh District Elementary School began to out-grow it's lovely stone building. Construction of the office, cafeteria and gym addition to the building was approved by the Board of Education.
In November 1969, construction began of an administration office space, new cafeteria and gymnasium.
These photos document the construction progress. The following are the companies involved:

NOTE: This is the last construction photo before the fire on August 30, 1970 that destroyed the majority of the main building. The only areas left untouched by the fire were the new offices, cafeteria, gym and the boiler room.

The follow photos show the construction of the new school building. It has been 1 year since the fire on 8/30/1970. This is the building that stands today as Seventh District Elementary School. According to the photo caption, the construction company is the Fabre-Cernak Corporation.
