During the 2016-17 school year, the new school principal, Mrs. Heather Denmyer, found in her desk the original 5"x7" paperback booklet from 1933 "Consolidated School of the Seventh District History". She put it on display in the front hall glass bulletin board. That stopped me right in my tracks! I asked to look at it and that began my love of the history of this school.
I then inquired if there were any more old documents. I was shown a box of historical documents, slides and photos in a back storage room of the school. As my own family's historian, I realized that the items needed to be cataloged and preserved to reduce deterioration.
So, now we are on a quest to add to our meager collection!
If you have any photos or memorabilia, especially from the 75th Anniversary in 2007, please use the Contact Form or email me at 7dehistory@gmail.com to let me know what you have. Then we can arrange a meeting to scan the item and add it to our collection.
Note: If the school feels that they can no longer house the items in the future, the Baltimore County Historical Society has offered to take the items into their possession for long-term preservation.
