Dinmore station opened in 1876, at the same time as the line however it wasn’t named Dinmore until 1884. Between 1885 and 1887, the line was duplicated between Ipswich and Corinda. The line was electrified on 20 September 1980 through the station from Darra to Ipswich. Dinmore was upgraded in 2017 as part of the station accessibility upgrade program upgrading stations to improve disability access.
Dinmore station serves the homonymous suburb of Dinmore. It was named after Dinmore Hill coming from the Welsh word ‘Dinmawr’ meaning large hill.
Dinmore station itself has two platforms consisting of two side platforms. Platform 1 is for inbound services and platform 2 is for outbound services.
Dinmore station has three station entrances. One is from the corner of Mason Street and Prince Street and two are from the carpark on Brisbane Road.
Dinmore does have disability access.
