Bundamba is located on the Ipswich Line and is served by all train services travelling from Ipswich to Bowen Hills with many continuing to Caboolture and Nambour. Bundamba is located 33.3 km from Roma Street and the approximate travel time is 49 minutes.

Bundamba station opened in 1876 at the same time as the line. The line was duplicated in 1887 to Ipswich. The line from from Darra to Ipswich was electrified in 1980.
Bundamba serves the homonymous suburb of Bundamba obtaining its name from the Yugarabul Aboriginal word meaning ‘place of the stone axe’.
Bundamba station itself has two side platforms. Platform 1 is for outbound services and platform 2 is for inbound services.
Bundamba station has two station entrances, both noth and south and both streets either side of the station are called Mining Street.
Bundamba station doesn’t have any disability access.
