Lilian Doyle was born in Leeds on 31st March 1884. By the age of 7 Lilian lived at the address 35, Micklegate, Selby with her Uncle, Abrose Chambers and her Aunt, Jane Chambers. By the time Lilian was 32 she had moved house to 50, Micklegate, Selby and had joined the war effort by becoming a nurse. Lilian enrolled as a nurse on the 17th October 1916 and served right through until 30th December 1916. During this time Lilian had worked in Bournemouth, Brighton, Woolwich and Millbank. By the age of 55 Lilian had moved to London where she lived at 80 Maida Vale St, Marylebone and worked as the proprietor of a guest house.
