Ada Ellen Farrar

Ada was baptised at St Helen’s Church, Barmby on the Marsh on September 10th 1882. The daughter of Thomas Farrar, a joiner, and Ada Ellen Farrar. Prior to the outbreak of war Ada worked as a housekeeper and lived with her younger brother Charles in Temple Hirst before later moving to Hambleton. In the summer of 1917 she worked as a masseuse at the Ampton Hall Military Hospital in Bury St Edmunds.
