National Youth Commission

The School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (SDRRM) Organization of Eastern Bacoor National High School proudly became a registered youth organization under the National Youth Commission (NYC) through its Youth Organization Registration Program (YORP). This significant milestone marks a new chapter in the organization’s commitment to youth empowerment, leadership, and civic engagement in the field of disaster risk reduction and management.

The organization was formally endorsed by the Bacoor Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) on August 1, 2025, recognizing SDRRM’s active involvement in community-based preparedness and safety initiatives. Following the endorsement, the SDRRM Organization’s registration with the National Youth Commission was officially approved on August 18, 2025, under the registration number YO-11816-081825.

As a YORP-registered organization, the SDRRM of Eastern Bacoor NHS now enjoys full recognition as part of the national youth network. This grants the organization the following privileges and opportunities as outlined in the 2017 Revitalized Youth Organization Registration Program (YORP) Guidelines:

• Representation in NYC congresses, leadership summits, and national youth development activities;

• Authorization to use the YORP Seal in official communications, publications, and organizational materials;

• Access to free organizational training programs and leadership capacity-building initiatives conducted by NYC; and

• Eligibility to request promotional support for organization-led projects, campaigns, and advocacy initiatives through NYC media outlets.
  
  

Through its registration with the National Youth Commission, the SDRRM Organization strengthens its credibility as a youth-led entity advocating for disaster risk awareness, climate resilience, and community preparedness. This national recognition also reinforces its role within the Bacoor Local Youth Development Council (LYDC), ensuring active participation in policy discussions, capacity-building workshops, and inter-organizational collaborations within and beyond the city.

With the approval of its YORP registration, the SDRRM Organization of Eastern Bacoor National High School stands as a proud representative of youth leadership in disaster preparedness, embodying the shared mission of the National Youth Commission to empower young Filipinos to become proactive, resilient, and responsible nation-builders.
