The content management system (CMS) is a tool that provides departments with publisher access which allows the ability to publish information to the website. There are items that publishers can do, but there are other items that must be completed by MC or may be too complicated for your ability.
Creating folders
Creating a new website section with multiple pages
Changing or adding navigation
Using a different template
Building a custom form
Building of pages that requires a lot of formatting - i.e. responsive column sets, accordions, tab sets, complex lists or tables
Assisting with images
Removing (deletion) of existing content items
Setting up tables and accordions
Adding/updating personnel photos
Updating personnel directory
Creating web analytic reports
Creating Flickr, Facebook, and Instagram widgets
Embedding YouTube videos
Who can publish or edit the website:
A limited number of individuals are allowed to edit and update their website information. A department head or business office head must request that someone in their group be set up with publishing access. Make that request to webmaster@sdsmt.edu
How to get publisher training:
Training sessions will be held online and may be set up as 1:1 with appointment. Contact webmaster@sdsmt.edu to request training.
Website Syncing:
Publishers work in our staging area. Work on staging gets published to the live site once a day at the end of the day. Check ektron-stage.sdsmt.edu (must be on the network - either connected or vpn'd in) to see what your changes look like before they go live.

I will need more information from you, before I can begin the process to set up for Ektron publisher access.
Your request must include:
1) Specific URL of the site you want to update;
2) If student, I will need your student ID#;
3) I need an email from the department head with their permissions.
After access is completed: I will send you an email on how to login and an online training link. I ask that you look through the online training before a sit down training.
