Tournament day can be stressful. If there are many categories and courts, the commotion at the admin desk can be reduced by following some best practices:
Always schedule the matches in advance.
Scheduling in advance will allow organizers to determine whether the matches can be completed on time.
Participants will know in advance the time and court for their match. You can say, “Please report to the desk half an hour before your game starts.”
The court schedule will be available in advance. This will specify which courts will host which categories.
On tournament day, use the “Courts View” feature on the main tournament screen.
This will provide a court-wise schedule.
Once the teams begin their warm-up for a match on a court, mark the match as “In-Progress.”
To do this, long press the match in “Courts View” and select “Set 'In Progress' state.”
When the match finishes and the referee returns to the desk, the admin person at the desk can easily find the match to update by using the filter to show only “In-Progress” matches in Courts View.
With this filter, you’ll see only matches that are currently in progress on the courts. Just click on the respective match, and it will take you directly to the score entry screen for that match.
