Even before you create your own club or login to your club, you can get a feel of the ScoreTally app, by browsing the pages of a "demo" club.
If you click the demo button you see on the main app screen, you will be taken to demo club screens. You will have "member" role access to demo club. You will have permissions to browse through club league and tournament screens, but will not have permissions to update any club data.
You can navigate through the different pages to browse club league matches and tournament matches, to check scores of the games and see player statistics.
If you are a first time user and you want to create a new club, go to Settings (top right dots) and select New Club.
Enter the club details and click "create" button. Make sure that the email id is valid.
If free subscription, you will be directed to activation page (see next section). With free subscription, you have limits on number of teams who can participate in one Club League and/or Tournament.
If you are opting for Paid subscription, ScoreTally team will contact you for payment and will send you an activation code to the email id that you have provided.
We recommend you to try out free version to see if the app suits your needs.
Every club will be provided with 3 user roles:
super-user (all powerful)
admin (limited powers, can enter scores)
member (view only)
You can have a maximum of 2 super-users, 10 admin users and many members.
Any user with super-user role can create/delete entities like tournaments, players etc. So, be careful with sharing your super-user password with others.
You can share the member login details with all the members of your club so that they all can follow your league and tournament game points.
Once you have the activation code with you, go back to "New Club" option and activate your club.
You will need to provide 3 different passwords for the 3 user roles:
super-user (club owner)
admin (officials who can enter game scores)
member (regular club members, who will be able to track the club points & match scores live)
You will have to make a note of the below items, so that it be shared with the club members:
Club name: your club's name
Super-user password: Password for 'super-user' role login (don't share this)
Admin password: Password for 'admin' role login (share this with only the club administrators)
Member password: Password for 'member' role login (share this with the regular club members and general public)
Note: This android app requires data connection (wifi or wireless network) to fetch your club details from the centralized real time database.
Enter the club name and the password for the particular role (super user, admin or member) that you want to assume. Select the appropriate role also before clicking "Sign in" button.
Note that app release 4.0.0, you don't have to enter the user name. It will be auto generated.
