To make things interesting, you can have recreational or competitive internal leagues through out your club season.
A sample club league:
(1) Sign in to the app (as described in the previous section) and select "Club League"
(2) Add Players to Gold & Silver groups
Check the box for "upload player data from a file" and click "Enter" button. See below for the file formats.
Player data can also be entered from a file (microsoft excel .xls file or plain text).
If excel (.xls) file, then the first row of the file may have headers and the rest of the rows can be have team/player data. See example 1 below.
If plain text file (supported from app release 4.0.0 onwards), then each entry should be of the below format. Entries starting with "#" are considered as comments and are ignored. See example 2 below.
(3) Start your first innings, if you haven't already imported one from a file
(4) Refresh the main page view
App is initiated!
You are ready to track your league games using the app.
Create a new round and start entering scores.
Keep on playing your games and add scores of every game to the app. Games should be played among players of the same group, i.e, Gold players among themselves and Silver players among themselves.
At any time, you can see summary of matches from Settings -> Round Summary
At the end of a innings, super user can start a new one. This would lead to "shuffling", in which N bottom players of Gold group will be swapped with N top players of Silver group. The number of players to shuffle "N" is configurable and the user will be asked to input the same during shuffling.
Make sure that you are on wifi or got reliable data connection while you do this operation.
Once the shuffling is completed, new innings is created. Points from previous innings are accumulated in the Season column.
On the next game day, follow the routine: create a new round and enter the game scores. Cycle continues: Innings points add up and at the end of the running innings, go ahead and start a new innings (shuffle the players again)
Lets go through an example to understand the shuffling done at the start of a new innings.
Example case:
Initial Scenario at the end of "forth" innings is captured here. Look at the "Innings" column:
Gita's statistics
Gita edges over Susan in Gold group due to her win% of 57%.
Susan's statistics
Susan has the same point (4) as Gita, but lesser win % of 50%.
Li dan's statistics
Li dan is 3rd in the Silver group list, but he has the highest win %.
Shuffling time!
Super user of club1 starts a new innings from Settings. He selects 2 players to be shuffled. Below is how the app does the shuffling:
Once the shuffling is done, the new innings "fifth" is started and the club members can continue with their next game day (which will be the first round of the new innings).
On the left, you can note the below:
