An anti-cheating system may comprise a combination of a modified operating system (Modified Environment), in conjunction with a trusted external entity (S1) to verify that the modified operating system (Modified Environment) is running on a particular device (S2). The modified operating system (Modified Environment) may be modified in a particular manner to create a restricted operating system (Modified Environment) as compared with an original operating system which is replaced by the modified operating system (Modified Environment). The modifications to the modified operating system (Modified Environment) may comprise alternations to the original operating system to, for example, detect and/or prevent changes to the hardware and/or software intended to allow cheating or undesirable user behavior.
A method is provided for increasing data storage reliability in a heterogeneous storage system including multiple storage devices of different types. The devices store respective data subsets of a dataset.
The method includes:
accessing configuration parameters (Environment) for the dataset including first (S1) and second (S2) amounts of the data subsets respectively stored on the multiple storage devices;
estimating an initial global reliability of the heterogeneous storage system for the dataset, based on the configuration parameters (Environment);
determining an increased global reliability of the storage system for the dataset, by estimating a global reliability as would be obtained by modifying at least some of the configuration parameters (Modified Environment), whereby at least the first (S1) and second (S2) amounts of the data subsets respectively stored on the devices are modified.
System, methods, and other embodiments described herein relate to identifying human-based perception techniques for analyzing a driving scene. The method includes:
modifying the simulated environment according to a visualization algorithm that approximates a machine vision technique
to transform the simulated environment into a modified environment
with redacted information in comparison to the simulated environment.
The method includes displaying the modified environment on an electronic display to an operator to assess how the operator perceives the modified environment when operating the vehicle.
