AI Ethics and Bias
Artificial Intelligence systems are created by people, trained on human-generated data, and used in real-world situations that affect individuals and communities. Because of this, AI systems can reflect human values, assumptions, and biases. AI ethics is the study of how these systems should be designed and used responsibly, fairly, and safely.
Ethical questions about AI go beyond whether a system works. They ask whether it works well for everyone, whether it can be trusted, and whether its use could cause harm. From biased image recognition and misinformation to privacy concerns and environmental costs, AI tools can have unintended consequences when they are used without care or understanding.
