Artifact Description:
I have included a lesson plan that was designed for one student with an IEP. I pulled this student to work on a reading intervention called LLI, and I designed this lesson plan to fit her specific needs.
Connection to Standard:
This lesson plan aligns with standard 3D: "Understands when and how to adjust plans based on outcome data, as well as student needs, goals, and responses." This lesson plan originated from a scripted reading intervention, but I adjusted it to fit the student's needs. For example, we took turns reading each page out loud, I delivered directions to her more than once.
What I learned:
Something that I have learned while using scripted interventions is the importance of always adapting them to fit the needs of each student. A teacher should never simply read an intervention word for word.
