Artifact Description:
This artifact is a part of a test construction and analyis project that I completed in my Educational Psychology class. I chose a chapter from the book to create an assessment that aligned with the higher levels of Bloom's Taxonomy. We created questions and stated which level they aligned with. Then, we had individuals take the test and we analyzed the results.
Connection to Standard:
This aligns with standard 2A: "Understands theories and philosophies of learning and human development as they relate to the range of students in the classroom." The concepts in this test include theories relating to aggression and identity.
What I learned:
I enjoyed making the questions on this test, because it helped me to learn more about the concepts included. It was also interesting to see how my test takers did on the test, as they didn't necessarily have the background knowledge that I did.
Artifact Description:
This is a group presentation that I delivered in a class about assistive technology. We were to choose an online platform and analyze how accessible it is for people with disabilities. We chose to do our research on Microsoft, and the other platforms connected to Microsoft.
Connection to standard:
This aligns with standard 2O: "Designs learning experiences and utilizes assistive technology and digital tools to provide access to general curricular content to individuals with disabilities." Through this research, I was able to learn what supports my students can have in the future when using these online platforms, and how I might be able to support them in the classroom.
What I learned:
I learned a lot about the accommodations that the Microsoft platforms offer to individuals with disabilities. These not only help those with disabilities, but they also aid in every day work for those who do not have disabilities. I also learned how I might be able to support my students with disabilities in the classroom with these platforms.
