The interaction of landscaping and space are introduced in the form. The continuity of built form combined with outdoor spaces lends to the connection in which two different clients live. Three strategies were used to create a form that was joined together by a mix of shared space and landscaping: shift, nest, and interlock. The shift created an edge condition that enforced privacy yet accessibility. The nesting utilized an open shared space where people could gather, and the interlock reinforced programmatic separation in relation to elevation.
