During the Summer 2018 semester we were tasked to design a complex sequence of spaces that could be used as seating for current students and draw in perspective academics into investigating the new Wellness Center. Using 3D modeling services through Rhinoceros and the parametric modeling software, Grasshopper, a design was formed that emulated an undulating form using straight objects.
There was need for creating a destination point in a plaza that was otherwise unoccupied. It would be sat on from the inside of the outside of the ring and could be seen used as a rail for skateboarders. It was somewhere the community could gather and meet new people or catch up with the old. It was up for 5 or so months before it was taken down due to the increased winter weather.
