3D Modeling Software Interface
One-Week Challenge
I've been challenged to develop an interface for 3D Modeling Software within a week. The challenge had two tasks, the first one was short just to show how to transform an object in a 3D environment.
The second task is just only to block design the interface and explain the interaction and the logic behind the design, although it had specific requirements:
The application is launched from a web browser (SaaS).
It is a 3D modeling tool that allows the creation of 3D assets.
Target Persona: Engineers (Mechanical/Industrial).
I also needed to follow design principles:
Maximized modeling viewport area
Professional Tool (not for casual users)
Future scalability in functionality and platforms.
I worked in Kanban agile method to follow the process of the project work. During the week I passed over a whole process of design thinking, conducted interviews, research, user-research, evaluation, and A/B Test.
All the process is defined and presented in details in the following documents.
Here i made a low fidelity prototype in respect to all the principles.
I started with the on-boarding to the interaction with the files inside the platform, i didn't go into details of interaction since the challenge was only for a week and for giving a wireframe for the software.
