There are two parts in a number written with its exponent: A base and an exponent. Ex:- 3 to the power of 4, where the base is 3 and the exponent is 4.
There are seven laws of exponents:
Multiplying power with the same base: ax * ay = ax + y
Dividing power with the same base: ax / ay = ax - y
Multiplying the base with the same exponents: ax * bx = abx
Dividing the base with the same exponents: ax / bx = (a/b)x
Power of a power: (ax)y = axy
Numbers with exponent zero: a0 = 1 where a is not equal to zero
Negative exponents: a-x = 1/ax
