What are Equations? It is the equality algebraic expressions involving variables and consonants. It contains an equal sign and has two sides the LHS (Left-hand side)and the RHS (Right-hand side). From the equation, we could say that the two sides should be equal in value. An equation is just like a weighing balance.
Where do we use this and why? We use simple equations to solve daily life puzzles or problems. sometimes one side might not be equal to the other side. To solve this problem we use two methods:
The trial and error method
The transposing method
The point to remember is that whenever you transpose a number to the other side its sign changes. If it was an addition sign it would change into a subtraction sign and vice versa. If it was a multiplication sign it would change into a division sign and vice versa.
