We have already learned about simple equations. There is another type of equation called 'Linear equation', where the degree of the equation is one. The degree is the largest exponent in a given equation. For example in the given equation:- 9x +6y = 36, the degree is 1 as the exponent of x, and y is 1.
Linear Equation in one variable:- The linear equation which has only one variable in it is called 'Linear Equation in One Variable '. You may know this but just like numbers, variables can be transposed as well.
