Join our BSAC Ocean Diver Course
BSAC's Ocean Diver course is the comprehensive and valuable entry level course, which when completed, allows you to dive to a maximum of 20m safely both in the UK and on holiday abroad, under the supervision of an onsite dive manager.
The course begins with a number of theory lessons, together with practical lessons which are conducted in a swimming pool, after which a short theory exam is completed by you. These are valuable lessons whereby you will gain the skills needed prior to you proceeding to the final and exciting element of your course - the sheltered open water lessons.
The Pool and Theory sessions take place on Monday evenings, with the sheltered open water dives taking place on a weekend at either Stoney Cove or Guildenburgh Water.
The sheltered open water lessons put into practice and re-enforce your earlier gained pool skills. Upon your successful completion of the open water elements you will be rewarded with your valuable Ocean Diver Certificate.
The course provides you with the equipment required, but you will however need to purchase your own mask, fins, snorkel and boots, as these are a personal fit to you. Please ask for our advice as to what type and quality of mask and fins you will need, prior to buying them, and we can also advise where these can be bought.
Included within the cost of the course are:
Membership of the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC). This is the largest diving club in the world and Member benefits include:
Your personal Diving Manual, Qualification Record Book and Ocean Diver Student Diver Notes.
