Corporal Works of Mercy (Serving God’s Family)
The Corporal Works of Mercy are found in the teachings of Jesus and give us a model for how we should treat all others, as if they were Christ in disguise. They "are charitable actions by which we help our neighbors in their bodily needs" (USCCA). They respond to the basic needs of humanity as we journey together through this life.
These works include:
To feed the hungry.
To give water to the thirsty.
To clothe the naked.
To shelter the homeless.
To visit the sick.
To visit the imprisoned, or ransom the captive.
To bury the dead
Students will be required to complete (1) Corporal Works of Mercy independently by February 10, 2025
They can choose one of the following or other similar Corporal Works of Mercy:
- Sunrise Assisted Living - Visit the Elderly
- Food Prep and donation to Caring & Friends
- Other similar Corporal Work of Mercy
