The Confirmation Saint Essay is part of your Confirmation preparation. The Saint’s name you choose will be your Confirmation name.
Your patron Saint should be one of our Church’s great Saints that you admire, and one whose life will be a role model to help you in your lifelong growth as a Catholic. By doing this Confirmation Saint Essay, you will come to know well the Saint you are choosing for your Confirmation name.
Due Date:
Essays shall be turned into your teachers on the following class dates:
· Sunday Classes: Sunday, October, 5, 2025.
· Essay Set Up: See next page.
Essay Requirements:
The Saint Essay should be simple and straightforward, covering the items below. There is no set word count. Just cover the items below:
Saint’s Name, date of birth, place of birth, where he/she grew up, date of death, cause of death, and feast day.
Address if the saint was always “saintly,” or if the saint started out unsaintly, then changed to a saintly life? (If this is not clear, state it is not clear).
Point out one thing about the saint that stood out to you.
State why you chose this saint, even if it’s because it’s the name of a favorite family member.
