Private School requirments

Below are the Confirmation requirements for those parishioners attending private school. Most of the preparation for the sacrament takes place within the school classroom. Please email smk-prep@stmax.org with any questions or concerns.

1. Sacrament Registration  Form is due Tuesday, November 2nd along  with a copy of your child's baptismal certificate and a  $100 sacrament materials fee. 

2.Sponsor Eligibility Form due Tuesday, November 2ndth

A Letter of Eligibility from the Sponsor’s home parish dated within a year of the Confirmation sacrament is required (including sponsors from St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish.)  The Pastor of the home parish is responsible for confirming that the sponsor meets all requirements.  Have your student’s sponsor contact their parish Rectory to identify the specific process for acquiring this document.  

3. Each student must also participate in the Ignite Retreat run through Bishop Shanahan.

Students will  choose a Saint to emulate and complete a research project as part of their school curriculum.

There is also a service requirement for Confirmation. Please email any service project completed to smk-prep@stmax.org.
