POLICY


This Summary applies to the processing of personal information subject to the Protection of Personal information Act 2013 (Act No. 4 of 2013).

The Employees of SA Health Protecting Services acknowledge that during the course of the service agreement, he/she may gain access to and become acquainted with the personal information of certain clients, suppliers and employees. Without prejudice to any existing contractual arrangements between the parties, the Employees shall treat all personal information as confidential and it shall inform all its employees, agents and/ or approved sub-Operators engaged in processing the personal information of the confidential nature of the personal information and agrees to respect the privacy of clients, suppliers and employees. The Employees shall ensure that all such persons or parties have signed an appropriate confidentiality agreement, are otherwise bound to a duty of confidentiality, or are under an appropriate statutory obligation of confidentiality.

The Employees may not directly or indirectly, utilise, disclose or make public in any manner to any person or third party, either within the organisation or externally, any personal information, unless such information is already publicly known or the disclosure is necessary in order for the Employees to perform his or her duties on behalf of SA Health Protecting Services.


The Employees shall promptly notify SA Health Protecting Services of any planned permanent or temporary transfers of personal information to a third party, and shall only perform such a transfer after obtaining authorisation from SA Health Protecting Services, which may be refused at its own discretion.

Responsibilities

It shall be the responsibility of the Top Management Team to establish and maintain policies and procedures and to bring these procedures into effect. It shall be the responsibility of the CEO (Licence Holder) to ensure implementation of these policies and procedures.
