"Spot" is an exploration of the immigrant experience, where a central hanging plant serves as a metaphor for diaspora—a symbol of belonging to no specific place. The physicality of soil within the work blurs the distinction between tangible and intangible spaces. Monitors surround the audience, displaying neural networks portraying maps, roots, and places with visuals in reaction to the ambient white-noise sound of nature. This arrangement invites viewers to engage with an immersive narrative, delving into the intricate dynamics of identity, displacement, and evolving landscapes.
