"Namus" refers to the virtue and chastity of female family members in Middle Eastern and Iranian cultures.
According to Sharia, women inherit half of what men would inherit following their death, and their inheritance compensation is half as well. Women and girls in Iran are treated as second-class citizens.

As a young Iranian girl, I was physically abused and beaten by the morality police in the streets of Tehran, Iran for not properly wearing hijab, I escaped from them to save my life. My peers are in prison and have been murdered in the recent protests of women, life, freedom. This project is my attempt to illustrate my trauma of being a girl in Iran. In Iran, fighting for my basic rights is a daily practice, and art is my practice for justice.
