Positive Personal Profile
When supporting job seekers with career development and employment opportunities, transition specialist are able to examine and assess the job seeker's skills and talents and assist the jobseeker with making decisions about which careers best align with their interests and preferences. As shown below, one tool I can use is building a positive personal profile. The Positive Personal Profile helps the Transition Specialist and job seekers see their work related assets to help make career development and employment decisions.
District Based Assessments is an evaluative process for school districts and organizations. When considering improvements to programming and student outcomes, districts and organizations can implore consultation services from a trained transition specialist to assess the program and services offered. Having experience with evaluating a school, I am able to assess an organizations transition services to help identify the program's strengths and areas of improvement to improve the overall effectiveness of the transition program. Transition Services for Job Seekers
Working with jobseekers, I am able to provide assessments that creates a snapshot of the individual's personal preferences and interests. I can interpret the results of assessments, and provide a summary of the the jobseeker's interests and create next steps of what the jobseeker needs to do in order to make progress towards their transition goals as shown below.
Working with families and the job seeker, I was able to create a post secondary transition plan to help this job seeker to achieve the career goal of her choice. This opportunity takes a commitment to participating in activities and assessments which help job seekers identify a goal and consistently work towards achieving their goal based on their personal strengths as shown below..
