In “ Les Visiteurs”, the film maker is Jean-Marie Poiré. The leading role is played by Christian Clavier (Jaquouille la Fripouille) and Jean Reno (Godefroy de Montmirail).The actress are Marie-Anne Chazel (Mrs.Ginette) and Valérie Lemercier (Béatrice de Montmirail). The second role is attributed to Christian Bujeau (Jean-Pierre Goulard), the husband of Valérie Lemercier in the film.

The story tells the story of two men, Godefroy de Montmirail and his servant, Jaquouille la Fripouille, transported trought time by magic to avoid Godefroy’s father-in law’s death. But, because of an error, instaed of coming back a few days, they arrive at the end of the 20th century. Then, Godefroy and Jaquouille meet their descendants, Béatrice de Montmirail and Jacques-Henri Jaquart. But they must find the descendant of their wizard to go back to their time. They find the wizard and he makes a potion for them. In the end it works and Godefroy with Jaquouille can go back to the castle to marry the daughter of the king, Frénégonde de Pouille.

I strongly recommend this film because you will laugh a lot even if it’s an old film. The actors play very well and it’s very French. It’s funny to see two periods of time and how people from the past do with the future.The landscapes are beautiful and very french.
