During the Evolution of The Pharmacy Profession event, students learned about how the pharmacy profession has progressed throughout the years and explored the future direction of the field. The event provided insight into the changing roles of pharmacists and the continued growth of the profession in healthcare.
2026 Induction Ceremony

This year, the Rho Chi Beta Delta Chapter proudly welcomed 25 new members from the Pharmacy Class of 2028 into the society. The evening began with remarks from 2025-2026 President Michelle Laszczych, who spoke about the importance of Rho Chi membership and how the organization helps develop lifelong leaders and successful pharmacists.
The Dean of St. John's University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Dean Anne Lin, shared her journey in pharmacy and reflected on the honor of being a member of Rho Chi. The chapter was also honored to welcome keynote speaker Dr. Vassilia Plakas, an alumna, past president, and current PGY-2 Pediatric Pharmacy Practice Resident at NYU Langone Health. Dr. Hughes was recognized as this year’s faculty member nominee.

Alumni Edition

The Rho Chi Coffee House Chat: Alumni Edition provided students with the opportunity to learn from Rho Chi alumni about professional practice, academic pathways, research experiences, and post-graduate opportunities, as well as guidance on navigating the field of pharmacy as a whole. The event began with a panel discussion that allowed students to get to know the alumni, followed by one-on-one networking sessions that encouraged meaningful conversation and mentorship. Light refreshments, including coffee, pastries, and pizza, were provided.

Residency & Fellowship Workshop

The Rho Chi Honor Society, in collaboration with SSHP, IPhO, and APhA-ASP, hosted a Residency and Fellowship Workshop designed to support students interested in postgraduate training. The event featured a panel of current residents and fellows representing a range of specialties. Panelists shared their personal journeys, application tips, and insights into the transition from student to resident/fellow. The workshop provided attendees with valuable guidance and a clearer understanding of the expectations and opportunities within postgraduate pharmacy education.
Deciphering D&D's &
Crash Course into Lab

The Rho Chi Honor Society, in collaboration with APhA-ASP, hosted an academic workshop focused on effective study strategies for Drugs and Diseases courses and laboratory components. The session also provided guidance on navigating the fourth and fifth professional years, helping students feel more confident and prepared for these courses.
