2023 Induction Ceremony

41 members of the Pharmacy Class of 2025 and one faculty member were welcomed into the Rho Chi Beta Delta Chapter. President Vassilia Plakas kicked off the night with a warm welcome followed by Dean Lin's address. Next, it was inspiring to hear from the night's keynote speaker, Dr. Alexander Cheung, the President of the 2018-2019 Rho Chi Beta Delta Chapter. Dr. Cheung's passion for the profession truly showed as he encouraged the inductees to never give up on what they strive towards. Finally, Dr. Etzel welcomed the inductees as members of Rho Chi and the 2023-2024 Executive Board. It was a wonderful night full of family, friends, and celebration!
Coffeehouse Chat: Faculty Edition

Students had the opportunity to network with our faculty members at one of our biggest events of the year. During this event, students rotated between different faculty members, discussing their career paths, research opportunities, and many more topics related to pharmacy. Thank you to all of the faculty members who made this event special, including: Dr. Hyunah Cho, Ph.D.; Dr. Joseph Etzel, Pharm.D.; Dr. Aaron Muth, Ph.D.; Dr. Ketan Patel, Ph.D.; and Dean Anne Lin. It was a night full of inspiring conversation!
Rho Chi Game Day

At this event, Rho Chi members had the opportunity to get to know one another with icebreaker questions, pizza, and games! It was fun to battle each other in UNO and Mario Kart, along with taking a break before finals!
Deciphering DNDs + Crash Course to Lab

In collaboration with APhA-ASP, Rho Chi members introduced pharmacy students to the Drugs & Diseases courses and labs starting in the fourth year of the program. Along with different subjects to be covered, we also provided study tips and keys to success. We ended the event with a Q&A session and offered advice to underclassmen. We hope this event eased any nerves going into DNDs and lab!
Residency & Fellowship Workshop

In collaboration with ASHP, APhA-ASP, and IPhO, we explored postgraduate opportunities with current residents and fellows. The panelists offered insight into the life of a resident/fellow, what the application process entails, the transition from pharmacy school into their current roles, and much more! It was a great opportunity for pharmacy students to learn from and network with the panelists. Thank you to all of the guest speakers who participated in this event!
Coffeehouse Chat: Alumni Edition

During this event, students had the chance to network with recent SJU pharmacy alumni. Students rotated between breakout sessions and learned all about the alumni's current role. This event allows students the unique opportunity to explore career options they may have never heard about before, as well as hear about the alumni's journey through school that drove them to their current position. Thank you to all the participating alumni for making this event so great!
