Day 1: Animate your binary initials

This introductory day is for experimenting and playing with binary code. Students animate a simple Scratch project using their initials and the binary code that represents them.

Feel free to remix this project to help you get started quickly.

To do:

• Translate your initials or your first name into binary.
• Create a scratch project that animates your initials or your first name.
• Publish your project to this studio.
• Turn in the link to the assignment in Canvas to a published Scratch project that animates your binary initials.

Day 2: Circuits

After the day's discussion, build three circuits with the breadboard, LEDs, buttons and batteries.

Upload a google doc with three pictures:

• One Circuit with the LED's off until you press the button
• One circuit with the LED's always on until you press the button
• One circuit of your own design.

Each person must upload their own Google Doc wit their pictures of evidence of their work.
