Scratch & Lego Wedo in Action with the Curriculum

How to Connect Scratch & Lego Wedo on a Chromebook

• Download the S2Bot 4 Scratch from the Chrome Web Store
• Open the extension
• Connect the legos
• Download the Scratch template and start to code!
• ***Note... this step will most likely change when Scratch 3 comes out in August!

Day 1: Build the Milo Robot & Connect to Scratch

• Build the Milo Robot
• Add the Lego Wedo 2.0 blocks (video)
• Connect via the Scratch Device Manager

Day 2: Add the Distance Sensor and code in Scratch

• Complete steps 1-7 in these instructions
• Add the code blocks you see to the left. Play with it, add your own experiment and have fun!

Day 3: Build with Legos

• Build your solution in Lego. Consider using the additional lego builds or a part of a build that you've done in the past.

Day 4: Add more features to your project

Add features to your build with a glue gun and blue tape

Day 5: Add images from Google Slides and the Internet.

Export your google slide

• Start on the slide you want to use
• Click File --> Download As -->PNG

Import it to scratch

• Choose if you want to use the Stage or a Sprite
• Choose the Backdrops or Costumes tab at the top
• Click the upload from file button (between paint brush and camera)
• Upload the file you downloaded from your presentation

Day 6: Add Narration to the project

Narrate your presentation into Scratch using the recording feature in the sound tab.
