LyoHUB Lyophilization Technology Demonstration Facility in Birck Nanotechnology Center 2261 boasts state-of-the-art R&D lyophilizers and vacuum freeze-drying equipment with a wide range of process analytical technologies including in-situ mass spectroscopy, thermal load/heat flux sensing, distributed wireless temperature measurement and freeze-drying microscopy. The lab provides capabilities for experimental studies of heat and mass transfer in medium-vacuum (10-300 mtorr) environment encountered in freeze-drying of pharmaceuticals, bio- and nanotech.
High-Vacuum Facility is located in Aerospace Science Laboratory building room 18A and provides capabilities for rarefied flow experiments and micropropulsion testing in high-vacuum environment (0.001 mtorr to 1 Torr).
