After I calmed her down, I had to explain.

You can imagine why that’s really bad.

We sat down and I had to explain everything now. I would have had to tell her eventually anyway so let's think of this as a good thing… I started off strong by saying I’m from another world.

Which she had a slightly hard time following.

I vaguely talked about me before being reincarnated and then I reached a bit of a problem. I had to tell her I was a Regulus monster.

“Um… I’m also-”

She looked at me.

“I’m a Regulus Slime taking on a human form.”

She still continued to only look at me.

I looked down toward the ground.

Now there are a few things that could play out right now. The first is that she attacks me, and the second which is the worst case; she tells the town what I am and Goldwill will hunt me down. On top of that at my current level I don’t think I could take out everyone else who's there. 

Pretty much I would be fucked.

Esther got up and looked over to me.

“That’s fine.”

“Huh-”

“I said that’s fine.” 

She smiled at me.

“B-but…”

“Like I said before, you helped me. Regardless of my status as the ‘Mage Empress’ no one offered me help before… you were the first, and I don’t care if you are a Regulus monster- in fact that’s even better.”

“What…? Better?”

“Cyn. When you get strong enough… I have a request for you.”

Her expression went dark, and it scared the living shit out of me. She almost terrified me more than Goldwill for a second.

“Destroy the Elven continent.”

I then stared at her blankly. I think I heard her correctly…

“Um… did you say destroy?”

“Yes, I did… they- they’re the reason why Elves have such a bad reputation, and they’re the ones hurting the World Tree. They’re not how they used to be…”

I sat there quietly. Before carefully answering.

“I’ll do it. I’ll destroy the Elven continent… but it might take a bit. I’m not that strong yet haha…”

I smiled at her as she looked at me a little startled.

“Thank you-”

“Oh- but I do have a few requirements… The first is that I get a full rundown on why at some point, and the second is that I want to see what they’re like first.”

“Alright…” 

“Ah- I almost forgot there is one more thing I have to show you.”

“O-okay?”

“Stratum.”

My stat window appeared. She looked puzzled so I can assume she can’t see it yet. Now imagine…

Making it visible. Visible. Visible…

“Cyn… what’s that blue thing in front of you?”

Perfect!

“My stat window.”

She ran up behind me and peered over my shoulder.

“Your stat window~?”

We both took a look at it.

The good news is my mana is now exceedingly high.

We started heading back toward the town. It was getting slightly dark and we had been in the field for a nice chunk of the day. I walked Esther to her house, then went back to the manor as Percide.

“I can’t wait for tomorrow!”

I drifted off to sleep…

Every time I’ve grinded for skills, I resorted to using magic. However, I learned yesterday that simple things like expanding my body can make skills. I think this is from [Quick Learner] which is one of my passive skills. I’m not sure how rare skills are currently, but I’ll find out eventually.

So today I’m going to level grind my [Form Shift] skill, and hopefully get more skills out of it!

To start off with, I went out to my testing field. Well, it’s not actually mine… but we’ll just say it is. From what I’ve learned my body can be manipulated how I want based on how vivid of an image I make. Which also goes with the [Absorption] skill since I can clearly see and feel the object before making it. Like my sword or the dagger.

Hmm…

Ehhh…

“How about a chainsaw…?”

I started gathering some of my slime.

I slowly start manipulating the slime on my right arm with my left.

“Let’s see… jagged points like this… Ooh! A chain connecting the pieces like this… Then some extra stabby pieces here-”

This process took me a few hours. It was almost like sculpting.

“…”

“Perfect!”

Now to replicate.

I instantly formed the slime on my left arm from the imprint on my right.

“Nice! Now I have two chainsaws attached to my arms!” 

I paused.

C-can I? Can I make them move?!

I tried making the chainsaws move using the chain part I implemented. Theoretically it should start to pull since I’m absorbing and releasing slime from my body at the same time.

The chains started tugging and after a moment the blades started spinning.

“Hahaha… hahaha… HAHAHA!”

“Let’s fucking go!”

I accelerated the chainsaws’ speed so they would be able to get through things way easier. I ran over to a tree, and swung my body. The tree was instantly cut. It fell, the cut being clean all the way through as it collapsed.

“So cool…”

I stopped the chainsaws and looked at my arms. 

“This is amazing!”

Now how about we try the main course~

I formed a small slime ball in my hand and threw it as hard as I could toward the sky. It went flying a few thousand meters up before it started to slow down.

||EXPANSION||

I then formed the ball that I could barely see into an avatar that resembled my body, this time I went the full mile and added all the correct coloring so that it would be a perfect clone.

||MIND’S EYE||

I swapped my consciousness into the avatar and started free-falling. 

I twisted my body around and put my hands behind my head, slowly falling as the sun began to set. The glistening red-orange color with the glaring sun fading away.

The air was bending around my body causing me to fall slightly slower, but not by much.

“Haaaaah…”

This is great~

I can swap with any part of me at any time! This means that I can make body doubles so I can’t be accused of practically anything. Which in turn means my identity as Percide is almost set in stone.

I closed my eyes. 

“This is the life-“

BOOM

I slammed into the cold hard ground.

Apparently I was falling down faster than I thought…

I opened my eyes, my right eye twitching.

“Ow…”

I landed next to my body though so I didn’t have to go looking for it…

||MIND’S EYE||

I absorbed my clone back into my body.

“Well, I guess it’s dark now.”

“Mmm… maybe I’ll hunt some bandits?”

I started hopping between rooftops.

“One…”

I jumped.

“Two…”

I jumped again.

“Three…”

“Ah. There we go~”

I leapt off the roof while forming my sword.

I came out of the alley with my hands behind my head.

“Hmm… another three bodies.”

I stopped.

Ah-

Shit.

I haven’t made a body double for Percide yet…

“Fuck!”

I fully sprinted back to the manor, which only took about a minute from across town.

||STEALTH||

I climbed up the wall to my room and modified my body to get inside through the glass windows. My body went back to a slime-like state as it passed through the crevices before reforming into my human form.

||FORM SHIFT||

The slime then got released and started filling out making me identical to Percide again.

Haaah…

This is too much work.
