Morning Set Up and Checklist

1. Loading dock door and one of the main entry doors will automatically unlock at 4:45am, so you can enter the building at that time.  If you wish to enter earlier, please discuss with Tom/Steve.

2. Turn on light in the social hall, the downstairs hallway, the upstairs hallway, and the Church lights should also be turned on.

3. Table boxes are in locked closet (key is in drawer of video panel).  

4. The tables will be (or should be) set up for you.  If not, you will have to set up tables and chairs as needed.

5. You may have to set up food serving tables.  We usually use six of these tables (3 sets of 2) for food and coffee. 

6. Place out your food and drink as you have planned.

Start of meeting

1. At 5:55am, make an announcement that it’s the five-minute warning

2. At 5:58am, make the second announcement so men will start heading back to their tables.

3. At 6:00am, please begin. Leading us in the sign of the cross will immediately gain men’s attention. 

a. Open with prayer (Today is the Memorial of Saint Irenaeus, Bishop and Martyr)

b. Break for table intensions for 8-10 mins.

c. Lift up all the intentions by leading the men in another prayer (two options below):

i.  Remember, O most Gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of Virgins, my mother. To thee do I cry, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

ii. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

d. Ask for new members.  Walk the mic to them and ask for their name, how they got there, and anything else they’d like to share about themselves.

e. Any additional announcements can be made at this time (see Steve or Tom for details of any announcements)

f. Direct the men to commence with their discussions

4. At 6:58 am (+/- few minutes), announce the meeting is closing and lead men in closing prayer.  You can develop your own or close with Saint Michael the Archangel.

a. Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil; May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Clean up

After MPB is complete, your team will have to clean up food, dispose of trash as needed, empty and rinse out the coffee carafes, wash all used platters and utensils.  PUT AWAY TABLE BOXES as well, please.

It is also helpful if you can fold up and put away the food serving tables. The round meeting tables can stay set up.
