Driver Rules

1. Drivers must obey all provincial driving rules and speed limits.  RCMP and police will have a presence throughout the relay. 

2. Cars must be completely off the road or have no wheels crossing white road lines if pulled over.

3. Do not park on bridges, by sections of roads with guardrails, or block driveways. 

4. Do not park on hills where there are curves or blind corners. 

5. Do not leave the start line area 10 minutes before or after a leg begins. 

6. Plan ahead.  Give yourselves lots of time to get runners to start lines. 

7. No cars can park on the shoulders of Highway 2 in legs #3 and #12.

8. If there are two or more entrances into a parking lot, Do not use the first one as runners will be entering it. 

9. Remember, as a driver, you are adding to traffic on the roads used by the relay.
