Leg 12: 18.4k (Road, Highway, an underpass, then trail) 80M elevation gain
The course is now on an inland route from the beaches of PEI. Starting at the old Tracadie School you head out through Corran Ban before turning left onto Donaldston Road. This will lead you to Tracadie Cross where you will hop on the highway for about 3.5 KMs. Shoulders on the highway are nice and wide. Drivers, do not pull over on the highway to support your runner, wait until the community of Scotchfort where there is a parking lot. In Scotchfort, runners will cross under the highway and get onto the Confederation Trail for your final kilometers before reaching Mount Stewart.
