While Handlers designs do not have specific rules, Kai's Imports will have guides on the color, shapes, etc.
Here you'll find everything you need listed.
🔷 DESIGN EDIT RULES
You are allowed to edit the free Optional Features of the import, but:
- they should still remain recognizable as that optional feature
- shouldn't go out too far out of the area they originate from (e.g you can't edit the Mane to make the whole neck area long furred, only the back of the neck)
Import Edit Items can be used whilst designing the import, and can be approved all together in Design Approval, or be used on an existing Import. You DO NOT have to first get the Import approved and uploaded before using Import Edit Items
🔷 DESIGN CHECKLIST
Make sure no colors on the design have less than 4% value. This is to avoid the design to look to dark and indistinguishable.
Make sure that you have drawn all the markings on the Kai. If you want to hide one you can, but you need to point that out in the Kai Import submission.
Color the Lineart (Optional): you can color the "inside" lineart of the base. The lineart MUST always be darker than the color surrounding it.
Shading is allowed ONLY on Mutation details (like horns, wings, etc.), skin and keratin. It should be subtle.
Lips/Eyelids do NOT need be darker than the fur/scales surrounding them.
You can make a blind Kai by making the pupil lighter than the iris and writing (Blind) next to the Eye trait. If you only want the Kai to have light colored pupils but no blindness, you can (just don't write Blind).
You may move the Kai on a horizontal axis to fit it better in or center it. You may NOT move them up nor down.
You may hide 1 Marking from the design. Remember to mention it in the special note section of your form.
Once the design is ready, you will need to upload it to stash (do not submit it as a deviation on your gallery) and copy-paste this Template.
Then, you can submit your Kai for a Import approval here:
