Since the beginning of the re-synth project, my goal was to create a Music Technology space at Bluffview Montessori School in Winona with the project equipment once the grant period ended on May 1, 2025.
On June 27, 2025, Bluffview's music teacher Chris Dubis (pictured below with the new gear in his music classroom) happily accepted my donation.
Rather than donating the small Novation keyboards, I decided the school would be better off with a full-size 88 for classroom and performance needs.
The Casio Privia PX-560M that has been my "gigging" keyboard for the last few years felt like a much better option.
I think it will serve the school well for quite a few years as will the MacBook Air, 2-Rode NT1 microphones (and mic stands), Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface, Audio Technica headphones, HP 32" HDMI monitor, Alesis powered speakers, and software including GarageBand, Audacity, and MuseScore.
I plan to spend time with Chris and his students this fall to make sure they get the most out of there new "toys",
Our two sons, Hans and Max, attended Bluffview from pre-K through 8th grade and our grandson Felix will join Children's House (pre-K) this fall.
Making this happen for the school feels right on so many levels.
Is this the end of the re-synth project? I hope not.
By keeping the Novation keyboards, I will be able to offer them and the Ableton Live sets to anyone interested in performing the work.

It's been an amazing journey that I hope a new generation of music techies will carry forward.
