Dr. Aaron Lohmeyer, Dr. Janet Heukeshoven, and four WSU music majors gave an "Informance" about re-synth at the Music Education Association's Midwinter Conference on February 13, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. in the Minneapolis Convention Center.
"re-synth project: Digital Literacy in the Band Room … and it’s fun!", gave an overview of the project and included a demonstration of the Dorian movement with the opportunity for attendees to become "Tech" soloists. Dr. Lohmeyer spoke of the importance of bringing this type of digital literacy to students and Dr. Heukeshoven detailed the unique role of the conductor when technology is integrated into the performance.
