It takes a community to keep us going. As a volunteer-run Centre that receives no government funding, we rely on donations, volunteer time and practical support.
Every donation, every volunteer hour and every practical contribution helps keep our Centre operating.
Meet Our Team
Our Committee works behind the scenes to help keep everything running safely and smoothly.
Their role includes:
supporting Coaches, volunteers and the programs they lead
overseeing fundraising, administration and day-to-day operations
ensure our horses receive the care and they need to be healthy, safe and happy
planning for the ongoing needs of RDA Kendall
RDA Coaches are central to the safe and effective running of our Centre.
Our Coaches are volunteers who have completed the practical and theory training required to become accredited through RDA NSW.
They maintain current First Aid certification and meet ongoing requirements, including workshops, training and practical hours.
On riding days, the Coach of the Day prepares session plans for each participant, monitors progress and adapts activities as needed throughout the term.
The Coach of the Day also has overall responsibility for the safe running of activities in the arena.
Coaches support and train volunteers, help assess new horses, and play an important role in horse training, care, feeding and welfare.
At RDA Kendall, our Coaches help ensure participants, volunteers and horses are supported with safety, care and purpose.
RDA Kendall is run entirely by volunteers, with people giving their time, skills and care in many different roles.
Some work directly with participants and horses on riding days, helping before and during activities, preparing and handling horses, and assisting in the arena.
Others support the Centre through horse care, grounds and garden maintenance, housekeeping, fundraising, administration, promotion and committee roles.
Every role matters, and every volunteer helps make RDA Kendall possible.
RDA Kendall would not be complete without our horses.
Horses are carefully chosen for their calm nature, patience and willingness to work with different people in different situations.
Every horse has their own personality and plays an important role alongside our coaches and volunteers, helping create safe, supportive and meaningful experiences for participants.

(school term)
Note: Riding sessions do not operate during school holidays
Volunteers:
Tuesday & Wednesday
8.00am to1.00pm
Volunteers are still needed during school holidays to assist with horse care, training and other Centre activities.
