TEAM ROSARY
When praying the Rosary as a team, the leader announces each mystery and the general intention; five of the members – one before each decade – announce the team’s specific intention for that decade.
Leader: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Participants: true God and man, my Creator and Redeemer, I love you above all else, and I am sorry with all my heart for offending you. To make up for my sins, which I firmly intend to confess in due time, I offer my life, my work, and all I do. I hope in your kindness and boundless mercy, and trust that you will forgive me and give me the grace never to offend you again. Amen.

The Joyful Mysteries (Monday and Saturday)
Leader: Today we will reflect on the joyful mysteries.
Leader: The first mystery: The incarnation of the Son of God.
Reader: “‘I am the Lord’s servant,’ said Mary, ‘let what you have said be done to me’” (Luke1:38).
Leader: The second mystery: Our Lady visits her cousin Elizabeth.
Reader: “Mary went into Zechariah’s house and greeted Elizabeth” (Luke 1:40).
Leader: The third mystery: The birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Reader: “Mary gave birth to a son, her firstborn. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger” (Luke 2:7).

The Sorrowful Mysteries (Tuesday and Friday)
Leader: Today we will reflect on the sorrowful mysteries.
Leader: The first mystery: The agony in the garden.
Reader: “In his anguish he prayed even more earnestly” (Luke 22:44).
Leader: The second mystery: The scourging at the pillar.
Reader: “Pilate then had Jesus taken away and scourged” (John 19:1).
Leader: The third mystery: The crowning with thorns.
Reader: “The soldiers twisted some thorns into a crown and put it on his head” (John 19:2).
Leader: The fourth mystery: Jesus carries his cross.
Reader: “Carrying his own cross, Jesus went out of the city to the place of the skull” (John 19:17).
Leader: The fifth mystery: Jesus dies on the cross.
Reader: “They crucified him with two others, one on either side with Jesus in the middle” (John 19:18).

The Glorious Mysteries (Wednesday and Sunday)
Leader: Today we will reflect on the glorious mysteries.
Leader: The first mystery: The resurrection of the Lord.
Reader: “Why look among the dead for someone who is alive? He is not here, he has risen” (Luke 24:56).
Leader: The second mystery: The ascension of the Lord.
Reader: “As he blessed them, he withdrew from them and was carried up to heaven” (Luke 24:51).
Leader: The third mystery: The coming of the Holy Spirit on the apostles.
Reader: “Something appeared to them that seemed like tongues of fire; these separated and came to rest on the head of each of them. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:34).
Leader: The fourth mystery: The assumption of Mary into heaven.
Reader: “Blessed is she who believed that the promise made her by the Lord would be fulfilled” (Luke 1:45).

The Luminous Mysteries (Thursday)
Leader: Today we will reflect on the luminous mysteries.
Leader: The first mystery: The baptism of Jesus in the Jordan.
Reader: “And a voice spoke from heaven, ‘This is my Son, the Beloved; my favor rests on him’” (Matthew 3:17).
Leader: The second mystery: Jesus reveals himself to his disciples at the wedding in Cana.
Reader: “This was the first of the signs given by Jesus: it was given at Cana in Galilee. He let his glory be seen, and his disciples believed in him”(John2:11).
Leader: The third mystery: The proclamation of the Kingdom of God.
Reader: “Jesus went to Galilee. There he proclaimed the Good News from God. ‘The time has come,’ he said, ‘and the Kingdom of God is close at hand. Repent, and believe the Good News’” (Mark 1:1415).
Leader: The fourth mystery: The transfiguration of Christ.
Reader: “As he prayed, he was transfigured in their presence: his face shone like the sun and his clothes became as white as the light” (Luke9:29;Matthew17:2).
Leader: The fifth mystery: The institution of the Eucharist.
Reader: “I am the living bread which has come down from heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will live for ever” (John 6:51).

O God, whose only begotten Son, by his life, death and resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life, grant, we beseech thee, that meditating on these mysteries of the most holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
The Rosary concludes with the Greeting to the Blessed Virgin Mary when it is prayed in the afternoon or evening.
