EUCHARISTIC VISIT AND SPIRITUAL COMMUNION

When we visit the Blessed Sacrament we want to greet our Redeemer, have a heartfelt conversation with Christ, learn the lessons he teaches us from the sacrament, and entrust to him our undertakings and our resolve to give ourselves to him. The fruit of these brief moments spent with Christ in the Eucharist should be: gratitude, encouragement in our struggle, trust and joy at being in his presence, and the desire to imitate him.

Your prayer should preferably be spontaneous and personal. Renew your faith, hope, and charity, and pray for the Church, the Pope, Regnum Christi and the world, along with all your personal, family, and other needs.

When you are unable to visit the Blessed Sacrament in a church, you can make a spiritual communion, using this or a similar prayer:

Spiritual Communion

My Jesus, I believe you are present in the Most Blessed Sacrament. I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace you as if you were already there and unite myself wholly to you. Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen.
